Born Anselmo Rossi in 1884 in the big little town of Licciana Nardi, in the northern Tuscany region of Italy. The history of this town stands the tests of time and carried with Anselmo as he boarded a ship to America in 1904 to create his own family legacy. Arriving in Santa Rosa CA in 1906, he worked as a shoe cobbler and sharpened his skills in clothing, fashion and business. In 1921 he opened the first official family store: A. Rossi & Son. After having 2 more sons, the name became A.Rossi & Sons and the business expanded to 5 locations. 26 years later, the Rossi's were known across Northern California for providing high quality, affordable men's fashion and work wear. Rooted in passion for clothing, family and community, the Rossi name served the North Bay until 1965.

Lets Jump ahead a bit...2015 we pick the story back up. A Rossi man working at Ferrari of San Francisco takes a risk and quits the 9-5 life blindly and chases his design dreams. Unaware of the full scope of the family history, he bumped and scraped and made his way through the art world and landed himself in fashion...

That person is me. I've always had a longing for family connection and have questioned why I do what I do (art and fashion). After extensive research one night back in 2023, I stumbled upon my insanely rich family history and was flooded with more information and emotions than I knew what to deal with. But here I am, and here we are. 10 years into my own journey, which was meant to be all along and connected to a story established 104 years ago. I'm here to pick up my family legacy and resurrect it. All the risks and hard work that my great great grandfather Anselmo Rossi gave his life for, is now continued. From Italy to California, and now back around the world. Come see why the Rossi's have been able to stand out and hold our own in the independent fashion world. Now with the addition of designs, websites, product development and so much more, the family business is back and driven like no other. It's always been bigger than me.
